This Soy Maple Glazed Salmon is insanely good. The salmon is bursting with flavor. It has a mild sweetness from the maple syrup and a hint of saltiness from the soy sauce. It literally seems to melt in your mouth. After your first bite, this will be a regular on your dinner rotation. It’s that good.
Ingredients
For The Glaze
- ▢ ½ cup maple syrup
- ▢ 3 tablespoon coconut sugar or brown sugar
- ▢ 3 tablespoon soy sauce
- ▢ 1 tablespoon lime juice
- ▢ 2 teaspoon minced garlic
- ▢ ¼ teaspoon paprika
- ▢ ⅛ teaspoon pepper
For The Salmon
- ▢ 2 pounds salmon cut in fillets
- ▢ salt and pepper dash
- ▢ ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ▢ ¼ teaspoon paprika
Instructions
For The Glaze
- Preheat oven to 385 degrees.
- Mix ½ cup maple syrup, 3 tablespoon coconut sugar (brown sugar), 3 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon lime juice, 2 teaspoon minced garlic, ¼ teaspoon paprika, and ⅛ teaspoon pepper in a bowl.
For The Salmon
- Line a 9 x 13 baking dish with aluminum foil.
- Lay salmon fillets in the pan. Leave about a ½ inch between fillets.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper on top of fillets.
- Mix ½ teaspoon garlic powder and ¼ teaspoon of paprika. Sprinkle evenly on top of salmon.
- Pour glaze mixture on top of salmon fillets evenly.
- Cover tightly with aluminum foil.
- Place in the heated oven and bake for 30 minutes. Check with a thermometer after 30 minutes to make sure the internal temperature of the thickest part of the fillet is 145 degrees. It may take a little longer or less, depending on the thickness of the fillet. Salmon will flake with a fork when it is done.
- Serve with the glaze spooned over the top of the salmon.
- Enjoy!
TIPS
- Cover the salmon with foil as tightly as you can. This is the secret to keeping the moisture in and not letting it evaporate as it bakes.
- Don’t exceed 385 degrees. Salmon is a delicate fish and needs to bake at a fairly low temperature to maintain its moisture.
- Ensure to cook the salmon to an internal temperature of 145°F, measured in the thickest part of the salmon filet. It should flake with a fork when done. It may take longer to cook if the fillets are quite thick.
